Principles in Action

Royal Canin is committed to social responsibility and the environment with a combination of action and engagement. Royal Canin’s Quality and Sustainable Development Policy is organised around a 3P approach: People, Planet & Performance.

The people who make up our company: Social.

To ensure a favourable positive social evolution, we deploy the necessary means and resources to guarantee the safety of the women and men who work in our company. We encourage diversity within our teams, a true reflection of the world in which we live. Finally, we want our employees to find the fulfilment they need, and we therefore provide many training and development opportunities for both their current and future professions within Royal Canin. “The team before the individual” is a key value that contributes to the efficiency of our teams.

“Global thinking for local action”: Environment

We are totally committed to actions which will enable us to reduce our impact on the environment. To ensure the sustainability of current and future resources, we are working on new raw material selection processes.

We commit to optimising the unitary weight and recyclability of the packaging and over packs we use.
The issue of climate change and especially greenhouse gases is the focal point of our concerns. We are therefore committed to measuring our carbon footprint and doing our very best to reduce it.

Progress through innovation: Economic Performance

In order to sustain and continuously improve our performances, we rely upon the following principles: We organise active customer and supplier listening sessions so that we may constantly apply a product and services innovation strategy. To guarantee optimum food safety and quality, we are setting up new raw material selection processes, alongside the permanent control of our production. Finally, we regularly invest in our industrial facilities, thus ensuring safe tools and the benefit of new technologies. These investments involve both product-linked innovations and the reduction of energy consumption and waste.
